The 30 hours Broker upgrade training will be a hands-on class with homework. You will learn how to set up a real estate office, track and review transactions, set up and operate a trust account and manage real estate licensees under your brokerage. Come to the class ready to learn and with an open mind. We will be discussing some of the problems a broker may have to handle as part of a day’s work.

This course is a very hands on course. The homework will include doing contracts, reviewing contracts and disclosures for completeness, setting up and operating brokerage office, an operating account and a trust account, setting up and running property management and association management accounts.

The course will cover at a minimum:

Broker supervision requirements and record keeping 4 Hours
Trust accounting procedures 3 Hours
Organizing and managing a real estate office 3 Hours
Property management 2 Hours
Licensee relationships, disclosure, and conflict of interest 3 Hours
Forms of ownership 2 Hours
Property law, public and private rights and limitations 2 Hours
Forms of conveyances and recording of documents 2 Hours
Contracts and transaction documents 2 Hours
Financing instruments and accounting principles 2 Hours
Alaska real estate license law and Alaska landlord tenant law 3 Hours
Federal Fair Housing and RESPA laws 2 Hours

When the course is completed, we will have covered the information you will need to pass the state broker upgrade test and to set up and operate a real estate brokerage business.
